insurance. We have enjoyed shipping our items all over the world and are happy to offer most of our items to international buyers. Yet insuring International parcels is very expensive so PLEASE NOTE; we do
NOT
insure International orders unless winning buyer specifically requests this and we are able to provide an insurance quote. We do not falsify information on the Customs Form, such as a price other than what the actual purchase price is, so please do not request us to do so. We ship several times a week and send payment acknowledgments and shipping confirmations. Your prompt payment will assure a very quick turn-around time.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If our shipping charge is much more than the actual shipping cost, we will refund the excess so what
YOU
pay for shipping/insurance is very close to, if not exactly, the
ACTUAL
shipping costs! This is especially important for foreign buyers to know as most of our foreign shipping charges are rough estimates.
A super nice looking bottle. It is shaped similar to that of a case gin which gives it a little extra added appeal. We've had some of these over the years with the label still on them, they were in fact a Bitters bottle. It originally contained Berliner Magen Bitters and though they were often imported from Germany, they were a pretty popular brand in the USA. As a matter of fact, more than one of them made it all the way up to the high elevation Rocky Mountain mining camps of America, as this one did. These white milk glass bitters bottles were used by several different manufacturer's of bitters, including ones for the American Market. Then there are also some that are a mystery, like the ones that are only embossed "R.B." Evidently this stood for "R---------'s Bitters", but no one has found out exactly what the R.B. stands for. Then there are also the western examples like the "S.B. ROTHENBERG", which even says “SOLE AGENTS U.S.”, for the U.S.A., an Oakland, California. And the best, the "GERMANIA" white bitters bottle, with a picture of a seated woman on it?! Though this one is NOT embossed,
it does have a light sun-burnt AMETHYST - VIOLET - TINGE to it
that makes it just a beautifully colored antique BITTERS bottle,
check it out!
