    Description

    1988 Porsche 944 Turbo
Car is mechanically perfect, with all major maintenance items (timing belt, balance belt, rollers seals, and water pump) all completed within the last 10k miles, and just had a complete interior upholstery refresh with new carpet, multiple trim replacements and color matching to correct any fading.  Dash is not cracked and only has micro cracks as shown in the picture.
Car was purchased from a Porsche Technician in November of 2020 and was obviously well-maintained and mechanically sound then.  The Porsche Technician installed a Lindsey Racing Stage 1 tune, wastegate shims, and Dawes device boost controller to improve turbo lag compared to the stock tune and setup.  Other upgrades he installed are Koni Sport rear suspension and 18” Porsche 993 Hollow Spoke Turbo Twist wheels (,500, they are some of the lightest and strongest wheels ever used by Porsche).
I intended to turn the car into a road trip and weekend drive car also capable of track days and autocross and invested ,000 to do that over the last 3 months.
,508 was spent at the premier Porsche shop in the Tampa Bay area (European Performance) to address small things like the combo stalk (turn signal, wiper, cc), new instrument cluster bulbs, and upgraded brake lines, to bigger items such as replacing the brake booster, spark plugs, cooling fan, and CV boots.  Next, ,321 was spent to replace the Bilstein Firehawk coil over front suspension with OEM front struts to strike a better balance between comfort and performance at the suggestion of the head mechanic who suggested the OEM over the Koni sport struts for best handling dynamics.  Next ,100 was spent on the interior including new carpet throughout, multiple new trim pieces and switches including newer door panels, and the entire interior was color matched to the sport seats to address age and fading.  You could comfortably drive this car to Argentina.
The paint is driver level, not show car level, with good paint but fading occurring on the driver's side starting around the door and going back to the quarter panel.  The stereo system is not working.
