    Description

In the mid 1890s, coffee companies competed to see who could come out with the best advertising trade cards geared towards children.  It was a strategic move since children would likely beg their Mothers to buy the coffee brand that had the best toys in them.  Mc Laughlin's and Lion Coffee Companies out did all the others!!  They did series upon series to keep folks coming back for more coffee!!!  The cards and dolls were lithographic printed and for that reason, the colors remain vivid to this day, 126 years later.  I have a huge collection of antique advertising paper dolls and toys.  P In the lots that I'm selling, there may be tears, creases, missing standards (tabs) or scraping on the backs of them.  Please view the photos closely for the best description.
This lot includes various cards from Lion Coffee's Nursery Rhyme series .  Little Jack Horner, Little Bo Peep and Old King Cole.
My huge paper doll collection has come from estates, other collectors and eBay.  I don't know previous storage history and they could have been in homes where smoking has occurred.  I have a poor sense of smell at my age and I don't know if that lingers.  My collection is stored in a smoke/pet free area of my home, with a dehumidifier running 24/7.  Please see photos for condition and content.
I only ship to the USA.  I usually take orders to the post office on Tuesday and Friday mornings by 10AM eastern time.
